I was tasked to create a promotional video for the 21 Under 21 Youth Award nominations that would be used on social media platforms. When creating this video it was important to highlight the nomination information as well as keeping a fun and youthful quality to the design. After receiving the content of video, I started sketching all the style frames, then designed them in Adobe Illustrator, and finally, animated them in After Effects to create the final video.
An important element in the process of putting this video together was the timing of animating certain elements to the music. However, with the mixture of all the information for viewers to take in spread across many style frames and the tempo of that music, it was difficult to get the pacing right in order for all elements to fit in those 60 seconds without feeling too rushed. In the end, I was and still am very pleased with the result and had a lot of fun putting it all together.
